GMP Wins Award for New Customer Mobile App

Colchester, VT…  Green Mountain Power is pleased to announce it has been awarded the 2015 Expanding Excellence award for its mobile app, in the category for Best Mobility  Implementation. The award recognizes energy companies that develop an innovative  approach to improving customer service by applying mobility to meet customer needs. The  award was presented at a CS Week Conference in Charlotte, North Carolina. “It is an honor to be recognized for our work to empower customers and put key  information at their fingertips,” said GMP spokesperson Kristin Carlsn. “We designed the  app with customer input so it would be most responsive to their needs. The app gives  customers information about their energy usage and offers a new convenient way to  monitor outages that may impact them.  

Green Mountain Power is using innovation and technology to improve service and  reliability for customers, while helping to control costs.  The mobile app helps customers  better track their energy, monitor outages and manage their account. The convenient app  allows customers to access their accounts and pay their GMP bills from their phones or  other mobile devices. The app is free to download and is available for both iOS and android. “Offering customers choice and control over their energy use is key to our energy future,”  said Carlson. “We are excited to provide them this innovative, award-winning service.” The app includes an easy walk through of all the app features when you first launch and if  customers have a question about  app features or their accounts, they can contact customer  services with ease directly from the app.

Its new heat pump heating and  cooling system and eHome program is an affordable way for customers to be more  comfortable in their homes while using less energy.
