GMP Launches New App For Customers

Colchester, Vt – Today Green Mountain Power launched a new mobile app to help customers better track their energy use in real time, monitor outages and manage their account. The convenient app will allow customers to access their accounts and pay their GMP bills from their phones or other mobile devices. The app is free to download and is available for both iOS and android.
 
“As Vermonters, we are increasingly busy in our lives so this app is really designed to empower our customers to access their account information, see their energy use and offer a new and convenient way to monitor outages that may impact them,” said GMP spokesperson Kristin Carlson. “This is part of our energy future, putting key information at our customers’ fingertips, offering them new products and services, while we continue to deliver clean, cost-effective and reliable power.”
 
App features include:
 
Energy Usage: With the new app customers can view usage information including hourly, daily and monthly consumption while also comparing it to the temperature.
 
Account Information: The app allows customers to view their current balance, see last payment amount and date, and view bill history. In addition, you may also establish e-billing or paperless billing for added convenience. If you prefer to pay your bill in person, the app offers locations and directions to authorized payment sites across Vermont.
 
Power Outages: The app provides an easy way to report a power outage, just by one tap on the phone. You can also view the status of your power and monitor outages as they are being restored.
 
The first time you launch the app it includes an easy walk through of all the app features and if you have a question about an app feature or your account, you can contact customer services with ease from the app.
 
“This app is a great tool to easily keep tabs on my energy use,” said Keith Epstein, a customer in South Burlington who provided GMP feedback as they developed the app. “I appreciate that GMP listens to customers and is giving us tools to help us track and use less energy. I recommend everyone try the app!”
 
In addition to the new app, GMP offers many products and services for customers to access technology and save time and money. Our new heat pump and heat pump water heater service is an affordable way for customers to be more comfortable in their homes while using less energy.
